About the role

We are seeking a proactive and business-oriented Site Controller to take full financial ownership of a manufacturing site specializing in advanced wound care products. The site employs approximately 100 people and is one of the strategic sites in the Essity group and currently expanding. We are also about to embark on an interesting business transformation journey with implementation of SAP S4 Hana.

You'll play a key role in the analyzing complete financials, ensuring smooth monthly consolidations, and supporting long-term financial planning. You are responsible for the coordination and development of all controlling processes for the specific plant. This is a dynamic opportunity to shape the financial future of our Business Unit while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals, both locally and in the global network of controllers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full financial responsibility for the site, including cost control, financial reporting, and performance analysis.

  • Lead monthly financial reporting, forecasting (quarterly), and annual budgeting processes.

  • Translate production plans actionable local manufacturing plans in cooperation with site leadership team, ensuring alignment with financial targets.

  • Monitor and analyze sales figures, production forecasts, and their impact on financial outcomes.

  • Drive and present monthly financial and performance reviews in collaboration with the Site Manager.

  • Actively participate in projects, including cost analysis and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Conduct CAPEX reviews and support investment planning.

  • Serve as a financial advisor to local management, providing clear, pedagogical explanations and guidance.

  • Ensure compliance with Essity’s policies, including MICR standards and legal regulations.

  • Collaborate closely with global finance teams and be an active member of the global financial network.

  • Participate in the site’s leadership team, contributing to strategic and operational decisions.

Who you are:

  • Strong financial background with experience in controlling, budgeting, and forecasting in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to see the big picture while managing details.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.

  • Comfortable taking ownership and driving initiatives beyond traditional controlling tasks.

  • Fluent in English and Swedish; enjoys networking and working in a global context.

  • Experience with cost control, CAPEX, and performance management is highly desirable.

  • A collaborative mindset and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

  • Experience from working in SAP is highly desirable.

  • Used to work in an international environment.
